Notice of Hearing

A public hearing will be held at 9:00 a.m. March 10, 2026, in the offices of Kansas Development Finance Authority, 534 S. Kansas Ave., Suite 800, Topeka, Kansas, on the proposal for the Kansas Development Finance Authority to issue its Agricultural Development Revenue Bonds for the Project(s) numbered below, in the respective maximum principal amounts. The Bond(s) will be issued to assist the respective Borrower (the “Beginning Farmer”) named below (who will be the owner and operator of the respective Project) to finance the cost in the amount of the Bond, which is then typically purchased by a lender bank (“Lender”) who then through Kansas Development Finance Authority, loans the bond proceeds to the Borrower for the purposes of acquiring the respective Project(s) as described below. Each Project shall be located as shown:

Project No. 001194 Maximum Principal Amount: $520,000. Owner/Operator: Mason Schulze; Description: Acquisition of 392 +/- acres of agricultural land and related improvements and equipment to be used by the owner/operator for farming purposes (the “Project”). The Project is being financed by the Lender for Mason Schulze (the “Beginning Farmer”) and is located at the East Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 26, Township 2 South, Range 24 West, the Southeast Quarter of Section 27, Township 2 South, Range 24 West, and the Northwest Quarter of Section 25, Township 2 South, Range 24 West, Norton County, Kansas, approximately 5 miles west of Norton, Kansas on US-36 Hwy.

Project No. 001195 Maximum Principal Amount: $495,000. Owner/Operator: James and Sara Kroeger; Description: Acquisition of 242 acres of agricultural land and related improvements and equipment to be used by the owner/operator for farming purposes (the “Project”). The Project is being financed by the Lender for James and Sara Kroeger (the “Beginning Farmer”) and is located at Section 31, Township 2 South, Range 8 East, approximately 1 mile east of Marysville, Kansas on US-36 Hwy., 1 mile south on 13th Rd, and ½ mile east on Limestone Road, and Section 6, Township 3 South, Range 8 East, Marshall County, Kansas, approximately 1 mile east of Marysville, Kansas on US-36, 2 miles south on 13th Road, and ½ mile east on Matador Road.

Each Bond when issued, will be a limited obligation of the Kansas Development Finance Authority and will not constitute a general obligation or indebtedness of the State of Kansas or any political subdivision thereof, including the Authority, nor will it be an indebtedness for which the faith and credit and taxing powers of the State of Kansas are pledged, but each Bond will be payable solely and only from amounts received from the respective Borrower, the obligation of which will be sufficient to pay the principal of, interest and redemption premium, if any, on each Bond as and when it shall become due.

At the time and place fixed for the hearings, all individuals who appear will be given an opportunity to express their views for or against the proposal to issue any specific Bond for the purpose of financing the respective Project, and all written comments previously filed with the Authority at its offices at Suite 800, 534 S. Kansas Avenue, Topeka, Kansas, 66603, will be considered. Additional information regarding any of the projects described above may be obtained by contacting the Authority at the address of its offices shown above.
