Notice of Application
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) received an application from Chamness Technology, Inc. (Chamness), for a significant modification to their existing permit number 0846 source-separated waste composting facility. Chamness applied to add 22 acres in composting area to their existing 24 acres, and to include yard waste composting and manure composting with their permitted activities.
Chamness is a privately-owned company, located at 10972 Denim Rd., Dodge City, KS 67801. The site is just north across the road from Ford County Landfill and is about 5.7 miles north of Dodge City.
KDHE reviewed the application from Chamness and has found the application to be in conformance with state solid waste statutes and regulations. KDHE is providing public notice of this draft permit. A copy of the administrative record, which includes the draft permit page and all information regarding this permit action, is available for public review until February 10, 2026, during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, at the following location:
