Notice of Requested Architectural Services

Notice is hereby given of the commencement of the selection process for architectural services for the Seaton Hall Central renovation project at Kansas State University. The proposed project consists of targeted renovations of approximately 15,000 square feet of Seaton Hall Central to address key programmatic needs of the College of Architecture, Planning, and Design (APD); a renovation of general classroom 0057 to achieve next-gen learning goals and objectives; and deferred maintenance goals. This renovation includes the majority of the first floor of Seaton Hall in the central, stone structure, and the north metal building addition, as well as a design lab space on the level below. The scope included in this project accommodates APD’s current enrollment and staff, vacates Justin Hall for the College of Health and Human Sciences’ critical needs, and sets the stage for APD’s long-term vision for Seaton, and the design of each space will be mindful of future improvements. These renovations accomplish many important objectives for the college and the university. Funds are currently available for the design phase only. The project construction budget is $4,900,000.
