Notice to Contractors

Project

Rehabilitation of Detention Dam Site 7-34 in Coffey County, Kansas, located 3 miles south and 1.75 miles west of Waverly, Kansas, for Long-Scott Creeks Watershed District No. 93.

General Scope of Work

Rehabilitation of dam with 1,090 tons of rock riprap for wave protection, 1,950 tons of riprap for shoreline protection, 390 tons of riprap for stilling basin protection, and 80 tons of riprap for fence barrier construction totaling 3,510 tons of rock riprap repair; principal spillway riser repair; project earthwork; seeding and mulching.

Site Showing

A non-mandatory (attendance) site showing will be held at 10:00 a.m. (Central Time) Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the 4-H Building–Kelly Park, 605 3rd St. Burlington, KS 66839.

Bid Documents

Bid documents (constituting project manual and construction plans) may be obtained in hard copy or electronically by contacting Matt Miller at 785-230-4354 or mmiller1@eocene.com.

Bids

Sealed, hard copy bids will be received by Matt Miller until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 1524 W. 217th, Osage City, KS 66523. Sealed, hard copy bids may also be hand delivered to the bid opening location.

Electronic bids will be received by Matt Miller at mmiller1@eocene.com until 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 2025. It will be the responsibility of the submitter to ensure Matt Miller receives the electronic bid.

Bid security in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price, must be submitted with each bid. Security may be in the form of a bid bond, cashier’s or certified check, postal money order, or cash. If check or money order is used, it must be made payable to Long-Scott Creeks Watershed District No. 93. Whether submitting bids by hard or electronic copy, bid security will be received by Matt Miller until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday December 10, 2025, at 1524 W. 217th, Osage City, KS 66523, or hand delivered to the bid opening location.

Bid Opening

A non-mandatory (attendance) bid opening will be held at 10:00 a.m. (Central Time) Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the 4-H Building–Kelly Park, 605 3rd St., Burlington, KS 66839.

Any bid and associated bid security received after the specified times will not be considered.
