Notice to Contractors

Project

Rehabilitation of Detention Dam Site 201 in Lyon County, Kansas, located 7 miles north and 2 miles west of Americus, Kansas, for Rock Creek Watershed Joint District No. 84.

General Scope of Work

Rehabilitation of dam with 1,018 tons of rock riprap for wave protection, 185 tons of riprap for outlet channel protection, and 55 tons of riprap for fence barrier construction totaling 1,258 tons of rock riprap repair; 144 linear feet of 16-inch diameter PVC principal spillway pipe with associated canopy inlet, drainage diaphragm, and trash rack; 164 linear feet of 6-inch diameter PVC drawdown pipe with associated 6-inch diameter gate valve; project earthwork; seeding and mulching.

Site Showing

A non-mandatory (attendance) site showing will be held at 11:00 a.m. (Central Time) Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the intersection of Road D and Road 310, Lyon County, Kansas.

Bid Documents

Bid documents (constituting project manual and construction plans) may be obtained in hard copy or electronically by contacting Matt Miller at 785-230-4354 or mmiller1@eocene.com.

Bids

Sealed, hard copy bids will be received by Matt Miller until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 1524 W. 217th, Osage City, KS 66523. Sealed, hard copy bids may also be hand delivered to the bid opening location.

Electronic bids will be received by Matt Miller at mmiller1@eocene.com until 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2025. It will be the responsibility of the submitter to ensure Matt Miller receives the electronic bid.

Bid security in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price, must be submitted with each bid. Security may be in the form of a bid bond, cashier’s or certified check, postal money order, or cash. If check or money order is used, it must be made payable to Rock Creek Watershed Joint District No. 84. Whether submitting bids by hard or electronic copy, bid security will be received by Matt Miller until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 1524 W. 217th, Osage City, KS 66523, or hand delivered to the bid opening location.

Bid Opening

A non-mandatory (attendance) bid opening will be held at 11:00 a.m. (Central Time) Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Rendezvous Meeting Room, 623 E. Main St., Council Grove, KS 66846.

Any bid and associated bid security received after the specified times will not be considered.
