Notice to Bidders
Notice is hereby given for the receipt of subcontractor bids for the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) Pittsburg Regional Crime Center project (A-015062). This project is being delivered using procedures established under the Kansas alternate project delivery building construction procurement act (K.S.A 75-37,141, et seq.). McCownGordon Construction LLC (McCownGordon) is the Construction Manager for the project.
Subcontractor bids will be received for the following scopes of work:
- 03 30 00 – Concrete
- 04 00 00 – Masonry
- 05 12 00 – Steel
- 07 40 00 – Roofing
- 07 42 13 – Metal panels
- 07 92 00 – Joint sealants
- 08 41 13 – Glazing
- 09 29 00 – Drywall and ceilings
- 09 66 23 – Terrazzo
- 09 67 23 – Epoxy
- 10 56 26 – Mobile storage shelving
- 12 35 53 – Laboratory casework and equipment
- 11 67 23 – Firing range equipment (alternate)
- 14 21 00 – Elevator (alternate)
- 21 00 10 – Fire suppression
- 22 00 10 – Plumbing
- 23 00 10 – HVAC
- 31 00 00 – Earthwork
- 33 00 00 – Site utilities
Bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. (Central Time) Thursday, August 14, 2025, via electronic sealed bid submission utilizing BuildingConnected. All bidders must prequalify through McCownGordon.
McCownGordon utilizes a secure online system to administer the qualification review process. Bidders who are not prequalified should go to https://mccowngordon.com/trade-partners/ and click the “Prequalify Now” link to begin the process. Any questions regarding the prequalification process should be directed to Abigail Freeman at afreeman@mccowngordon.com. By submitting a bid, your company agrees that it will submit a recent financial statement, references, and safety history prior to the award of contract. Subcontractor will execute a copy of McCownGordon Construction’s current Master Subcontract Agreement (MSA).
All bidders should advise of their intent to bid. Invitations to bid will be sent through BuildingConnected at http://www.buildingconnected.com by the CMAR. This online system allows bidders to indicate their intent for bidding, i.e.–Undecided, Bidding, Not Bidding.
A copy of the bid documents will be available for review through the online bid solicitation software and at https://app.buildingconnected.com/public/565cdb606895000f004164f2. Any messages, addendum, notices of changes will be sent through this system. Please contact the above project contact to be added to the distribution list.
Construction Manual including instructions to bidders, schedule, site logistics, scopes of work, bid form, insurance requirements, etc. will be issued via BuildingConnected at http://www.buildingconnected.com. Notice of bid date change to be sent through BuildingConnected. Bids to be valid for 45 days.
