Notice of Hearing

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has prepared a proposed Kansas Water Pollution Control Permit, A-UAFI-C025 for Triangle H, Inc. located in Garden City, Kansas.

This is a modified permit for the construction and operation of a confined feeding facility with a maximum capacity of 9,000 head (9,000 animal units) of cattle weighing more than 700 pounds. The facility is located in the North Half of Section 5, Township 26 South, Range 32 West in Finney County, Kansas. A notice in the Kansas Register dated June 12, 2025, informed the public of the availability of the proposed water pollution control permit for Triangle H, Inc.

Copies of the permit application, draft permit, and other documents may be viewed in person at the Topeka, Kansas office by scheduling an appointment, or requested by writing to: KDHE, Livestock Waste Management Section, 1000 SW Jackson St., Suite 430, Topeka, KS 66612, via telephone at 785-296-6432, or fax at 785-559-4258. Appropriate copying charges will be assessed for each request. The public hearing has been scheduled in conformance with Kansas Administrative Regulation 28-16-61.

A public hearing on the Triangle H, Inc. proposed permit modification has been scheduled:

The purpose of the public hearing is to inform the public, stakeholders, and regulated community about the proposed water pollution control permit. The hearing will consist of outlining the proposed facility modification and proposed permit, then the hearing will be open for public comment. Any individual with a disability may request accommodation to participate in the public hearing process and may request the provided documents in an accessible format. Requests for accommodation to participate in the hearing should be made at least five working days in advance of the hearing by contacting KDHE. An online attendance option may be made available upon written request.
