Kyle Railroad Company

Request for Proposals

The Kyle Railroad Company is requesting material and labor proposals for a rail improvement project on the Yuma, Phillipsburg, and Concordia Subdivision. The work consists of the following major items: Installation of 35,400 linear feet of rail and various compromise joint bars, installation, and disposal of 7,600 crossties, distribution of 3,800 tons of ballast, and 25 miles of surfacing. This project is the recipient of a CRISI and KDOT State Rail Service Improvement Fund program grant and the contract for work will be directly with Kyle Railroad, which reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Questions regarding the project and interested bidders must request bid documents from purchasing-rfp@gwrr.com.

2025 KYLE KDOT – Yuma Rail Replacement Phase 1

The project consists of providing labor, equipment, and machinery for the following trackwork:

  • Remove and replace 16,000 linear feet of rail.

2025 KYLE KDOT – Yuma Rail Replacement Phase 2

The project consists of providing labor, equipment, and machinery for the following trackwork:

  • Remove and replace 16,000 linear feet of rail.
  • Cut and stockpile relay rail and OTM.

2025 KYLE KDOT – Phillipsburg Yard

The project consists of providing labor, equipment, and machinery for the following trackwork:

  • Remove and replace 3,400 linear of rail.
  • Distribute and install 10 turnouts.
  • Install 660 crossties.
  • Unload and distribute 3,800 tons of ballast.
  • Surface one mile of track.

2025 KYLE CRISI GARF

The project consists of providing labor, equipment, and machinery for the following trackwork:

  • Distribute and install 7,000 mainline crossties.
  • Surface 23.50 miles of track.
  • Dispose of 7,000 crossties.
