SCHWAB STATEMENT ON VOTE CENTER DISMISSAL

Tuesday, July 28, 2020

TOPEKA – Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab issued the following statement on the dismissal of vote center litigation (Kansas Democratic Party, et al. v. Scott Schwab, Secretary of State for State of Kansas).

"Today's ruling reiterated our office has been faithfully executing our duties with the promulgation of vote center rules and regulations. The hypocrisy of democrats in demanding the implementation of vote centers while also advocating for the elimination of polling places through all mail ballot elections is evidence of their systemic ignorance of election law and administration. The endless lawsuits from the democratic party and the ACLU do nothing more than weaponize our elections and syphon resources. Major changes to the administration of our elections should not be rushed out of political impulse or expediency."
