    The Safe at Home program was proposed and passed in the 2006 legislative session, to be effective January 1, 2007. The laws governing Safe at Home can be found at K.S.A. 75-451 through 75-458.

    Administrative regulations, K.A.R. 7-44-1 through 7-44-7, have also been adopted by the Secretary of State's office. The regulations became effective on May 4, 2007.
