SEC. BIGGS ANNOUNCES START OF ADVANCE VOTING
TOPEKA, KS – Secretary of State Chris Biggs announced Wednesday, July 14th the start of advance voting in Kansas. “Voting in Kansas is easier than ever, because with advance voting, any registered voter can vote by mail or in person before Election Day,” said Sec. Biggs.
By Mail: Kansas voters may contact their county election office to request an application for an advance ballot or download an application online at www.voteks.org. All ballots must be received in the county election office by the close of polls on Tuesday, August 3rd.
In Person: Alternatively, Kansas voters may vote in person at their county election office starting Tuesday, July 27th or up to 20 days before the election, depending on the county. The deadline to cast an advance ballot in person is noon on Monday, August 2nd.
“There’s no excuse not to vote in Kansas,” said Sec. Biggs. “Whether you vote at your polling place on Election Day, vote early at your county election office, or vote in advance by mail, the important thing is that you vote!”
Reminder: The last day to register to vote in the August 3rd primary is Monday, July 19th!
