THORNBURGH REAPPOINTS BILL GALE AS
SEDGWICK COUNTY ELECTION COMMISSIONER
WICHITA, KS – Today, Kansas Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh appointed Bill Gale to a third term as Sedgwick County Election Commissioner. The ceremony took place at the Sedgwick County election office.
“As the elections process continues to evolve, it is critical that we have individuals like Bill Gale at the helm. In his more than five years in office, he has successfully led Sedgwick County through significant changes brought about by federal legislation while continually looking for ways to make the process more streamlined and accessible,” said Thornburgh.
Bill Gale was first appointed by Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh on November 3, 2003 to fill the remainder of a four-year term upon the retirement of Marilyn Chapman. Gale will serve a four-year term in office.
