SECRETARY OF STATE ANNOUNCES SUMMER INTERNS
Topeka, KS– Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh today announced the interns for the Secretary of State's office 2009 Summer Internship Program. Lauren Bradley, Michael Comstock, Ellen Dicus, Sam Hund (Paxico), Alarie Kennedy, Andrew Lippe, Abigail Long, and Brock Thornburgh (Osage City) join the office from the Topeka area.
Each summer the Secretary of State appoints students to work in the office by assisting in various projects and duties. These students gain valuable knowledge and experience from their time working with the agency.
“Our summer internship program allows students to gain practical knowledge on the day-to-day workings of a state agency that will serve them well in their future endeavors. They are a great asset to our office and I look forward to working with each of them over the coming months,” said Thornburgh.
