TOPEKA , KS- Kansas Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh will officially swear-in Bruce Newby as the Wyandotte County election commissioner at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 9, 2007. The ceremony will take place at the commissioner's chamber of city hall, 710 North 7 th Street , Kansas City .

Newby was first appointed by Secretary Thornburgh last year to fill an unexpired position. This will be his second term as Wyandotte County election commissioner.
