TOPEKA , KS- Kansas Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh will testify before the House Taxation Committee at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow, January 18, 2007, in room 519-S of the Capitol building.

Thornburgh will testify on HB 2031, relating to the elimination of the franchise fee. He will offer an amendment to the bill that would also eliminate the annual report fee paid to the Secretary of State’s office. Thornburgh will be available for questions immediately following the hearing.
