TOPEKA , KS - Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh will convene a meeting of the State Board of Canvassers at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2006, in the Secretary of State’s office, Memorial Hall, second floor. The board will meet to certify the results of the primary election.

The board is defined by statute and comprised of Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh, Governor Kathleen Sebelius and Attorney General Phill Kline.

Upon concluding the canvass, the primary election results will be deemed official and available to the public.
