THORNBURGH, STUBER TO APPEAR AT
WOODSON COUNTY FAIR TO DEMO NEW VOTING MACHINES
YATES CENTER, KS- Kansas Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh and Woodson County Clerk Shelley Stuber will be on-hand at the County Fair on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. to help local citizens tryout new voting equipment.
The demonstration, which will take place at the Bressner Building, South on Highway 75, will give residents the opportunity to practice casting a ballot before the upcoming Primary Election.
The August 1, 2006 election will be the first time Woodson County will be using Automark machines and precinct scanners. The County has previously voted only through hand counted paper ballots.
