TOPEKA, KS- Kansas Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh will officially swear-in Bruce Newby as the Wyandotte County election commissioner at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2006. The ceremony will take place in the commissioner’s chamber of city hall, 710 North 7th Street, Kansas City.

Newby was appointed by Thornburgh earlier this month to replace Patricia Rahija, who retired after eleven years of service.
