THORNBURGH TO CONVENE
STATE BOARD OF CANVASSERS
Topeka, KS – Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh will convene a meeting of the State Board of Canvassers at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2005 in the Secretary of State’s office, Memorial Hall, second floor. The board will meet to review and certify the official abstracts of votes cast on the constitutional amendment question submitted at the general election held on April 5, 2005.
The board is defined by state law and comprised of Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh, Governor Kathleen Sebelius and Attorney General Phill Kline. Board members may send a designee to represent them at the canvass.
Upon concluding the canvass, the results of the general election will be deemed official and available to the public.
