THORNBURGH TO CONVENE
PRESIDENTIAL ELECTORS
Topeka, KS - Kansas Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh will convene a meeting of the presidential electors on Monday, December 13, 2004, at noon in the State Capitol, Old Supreme Court Room, 313-S.
Thornburgh will convene the meeting pursuant to K.S.A. 25-802 and Amendment 12 of the United States Constitution. Electors will cast ballots for the office of United States President and Vice President. Once the votes are tallied, the Secretary will certify the results to the Governor and the final vote tally will be sent to the Vice President in his capacity as President of the United States Senate.
