THORNBURGH TO RECOGNIZE
SCHMIDT FOR SERVICE
Topeka, KS – Kansas Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh will present Connie Schmidt, Johnson County Election Commissioner, with the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) Medallion Award in recognition of her nine years of service as election commissioner and to our American Democracy.
The award will be presented at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2004, at the Sylvester Powell, Jr. Community Center located at 6200 Martway Street, Mission, Kansas.
