THORNBURGH TO PARTICIPATE IN VOTER REGISTRATION
DRIVE AT COX COMMUNICATIONS' WICHITA OFFICE

Wichita, KS -Kansas Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh will participate in a voter registration drive at Cox Communications' Wichita office at 11:15 a.m., Tuesday, October 12, 2004, at 701 East Douglas.

"Cox Communications is to be commended for their effort to register customers and employees and encourage participation in the November 2, 2004, general election," stated Thornburgh. "Cox Communications is setting an example for others to follow by providing this service to the community. I am happy to be a part of this effort and encourage other businesses to follow the lead Cox Communications has set."

The voter registration drive is a new endeavor for Cox Communications. The effort provides customers and employees the opportunity to register in 23 locations from Garden City to Pittsburg. The program will run October 12 and 13. The deadline to register is Monday, October 18, 2004.
