THORNBURGH, SCHMIDT, RAHIJA TO
HOLD JOINT PRESS CONFERENCE
Topeka, KS – Kansas Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh, Johnson County Election Commissioner Connie Schmidt and Wyandotte County Election Commissioner Pat Rahija will hold a press conference on Thursday, July 29, 2004, at 2:30 p.m. The press conference will take place at the Johnson County Election Offices, located at 2101 East Kansas City Road in Olathe, Kansas.
Thornburgh, Schmidt and Rahija will outline five easy steps for voters to remember as they go to the polls on Tuesday, August 3 for the primary election. They will also clarify the semi-open Democrat primary and closed Republican primary and instruct voters on how to affiliate if they desire to vote in the Republican primary.
