THORNBURGH TO TESTIFY ON
HELP AMERICA VOTE ACT (HAVA)
Topeka, Kansas – Kansas Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh will testify
before the Senate Committee on Elections and Local Government at 1:30 p.m. on
Thursday, February 12, 2004 in room 423-S of the Capitol building.
Thornburgh will testify on SB 479 relating to the Help America Vote of 2002.
He will focus his testimony on the agreement reached with Governor Kathleen
Sebelius on voter identification requirements and clarify polling place accessibility.
Thornburgh will be available for questions directly following the committee
meeting.
