JULY 22 IS THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER TO VOTE
FOR THE PRIMARY ELECTION
Topeka, KS - Kansas Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh is reminding Kansans the deadline to register
to vote or change party affiliation for the primary election is Monday, July 22 at 5 p.m. Voter
registration cards are available by contacting the county election office or may be printed at
www.kssos.org. Voter registration applications are also available in Spanish.
To register to vote you must be a U.S. citizen, be a resident of the state of Kansas, and have reached
the age of eighteen (18) years before the primary election.
I encourage all Kansans who meet the requirements to register for the upcoming primary election,
stated Thornburgh. It is our civic responsibility to register and participate in the elections
process. I encourage all Kansans to educate themselves on the candidates and go to the polls on
Tuesday, August 6 and cast their vote.
