Notice of Requested Engineering Code Review Services

Notice is hereby given of the commencement of the selection process for code compliance engineering plan review services for the Kansas Department of Administration – Office of Facilities and Property Management (OFPM). OFPM is seeking firms to provide code compliance reviews of engineering documents for projects ranging from $1,000,000 to $200,000,000 that are being executed on State of Kansas property. The firm(s) hired will be required to review and provide comments on code compliance for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, and fire sprinkler systems. Responding firms must demonstrate a thorough understanding of the codes used by OFPM, located at https://admin.ks.gov/media/cms/110_List_of_Applicable_Codes_a93ab7061bb1e.pdf, and will be reviewing the documents for code compliance only and not for cost or convenience. Multiple firms will be selected. The contracts will be for 3-years with two 1-year renewal options.

To be considered provide a letter of interest and information on your experience on providing these services; provide resumes of those staff who will be designated to perform these services. Indicate how these individuals have performed these duties for other clients. Please include your firm name, agency abbreviation, and an abbreviated project name in the title of the PDF document. Paper copies and flash drives containing copies of the proposals are not required.

Proposals should be sent to professional.qualifications@ks.gov and are due by 2:00 p.m. on or before May 31, 2024.
